Default Narrowing 86' heater problem

My heater system does not work properly, and I am just trying to narrow down the problem/confirm the problem before I put a lot of labor into fixing something that does not need fixed.

The heater system does not blow at all regardless of speed setting. After I have been driving for awhile, a little bit of warm air comes through the vents, but I think is just engine heat. I figured I need a new blower fan engine, but is there any other things I should troubleshoot before replacing the blower fan?

Find the blower fan motor and run 12v via a cable to it, it should run.
The warm air you feel is the ram air pushing some air through the heater core, so that and the vents are O.K.
If the motor spins up when jumped, it's likely your resistor pack or switch. If it doesn't, then you know what to do.

Regards, Andrew.
