Default Need help with 1980 Volvo 240GL Alternator

Hey,

I am trying to figure out what amp size alternator I need to replace the bad one I have in my car. I own a 1980 Volvo GL... apparently all 240 and 244 parts should work for this car. Can anyone help me? Maybe give me a link to a site where I can purchase one?

Thanks

A 55-amp, or 70 or 80 will work fine. Check eBay and search for Volvo 240 alternator. A rebuilt Bosch from an experienced seller should be OK.

Default Make sure

You should be sure to put a Bosch in it, my '79 had a different one that was a pita.
