Default Need help choosing between a 940t and a 940 N/A

Thursday I'm gonna buy a car. I have 2 options.

NA 940 (944) GLE 2.3 131hp 1992, blue, with 150000km, 2 owners (father and son). Exterior is like it came out of the factory today. Garage car for sure.

940 Classic (Turbo) 135hp 1998, green, with 250000km, 5 owners. Exterior not too bad. Front left fender is messed up. Missing some trim.

Is the '92 a 16 valve? It's hard to say without seeing the cars, it's a personal choice. If the '92 is 16V I'd stay away. The Turbo is more interesting to me.

No. The engine is a b230fb. The car looks so clean.

Update: turns out the owner of the GLE is full of BS and the car actually has >300000km. The odometer was changed and the readings after that are also inconsistent. There are no honest people in the world anymore.

1992 Volvo 740/940 odometers are notoriously bad, as are the ones in the 240s.
As far as honest people, not too many left, welcome to the "new" world, all fake all the time!

Tomorrow I'm doing the 1300km round trip to get the car. I dont know how my partner puts up with my shenanigans. Hope the car is worth the effort I've done all i can to make sure it's a good deal. Now all is left is to drive it. It's gonna be hard to pass it, since that would mean buying an expensive last minute ticket back home.

They wanted 1200. Honestly, I'm done with looking for cars this far away from home. The turbo guy just told me (mind you, it's 11pm locally and I was supposed to leave to madrid to get the car at 6am) that although he "definitely does have" the parts that the car is missing (gas door, bumper trims, etc) he didn't have time to search for them and that he will email them to me when he finds them. On top of that, half hour later, texts me saying another guy wants to go see the car and buy it right now. Trying to force me to pay him, since he got the feeling I might jump once I get there and see everyting he didn't tell me about the car, or try to haggle over the missing parts, bald tyres, etc.

Funny thing is that just a few days ago another turbo, one owner, same km more or less, one year older, just appeared for sale at the same 1500€ pricetag. Unfortunatelly it's almost in Portugal, too far... And I found out that 4 months ago someone sold a 2 owner for 950€ (LOL). So if I play the waiting game I'm probably gonna find a good deal.

I'm just so disappointed I don't get to drive my RWD Volvo just yet!

too bad! well maybe you are better off with a bicycle or a moped that gets 100mpg while you wait for the right 'deal' to drop into your lap.

I don't know what's the deal with you, but I don't appreciate the condescending tone.
