Well I am the proud owner of a 1992 Volvo 240 Wagon, The car has over 160K miles on original engine and trans. My problem is today for the first time the car or Tranny rather started acting up. The car is an automatic and the problem im having is when I put the car in reverse and start to touch the gas the car like POPS into reverse. The car never did this before and then all of the sudden it started happening. What could be the problem???

 

Have you checked the level of your gearbox fluid? It might be a bit low and can make for sudden gear changes.
