I have a 1993 Volvo 940 Turbo. My brake lights do not work. I have checked fuses and bulbs. I tried to replace my brake light switch but cannot seem to order a part that looks like the one I removed from the brake pedal. It is all black and the ones I receive are metal. Do I have the wrong part? Any other thoughts?

 

black plastic plunger type is what you should have. a replacemnt may look different as long as it does the job... and fits, etc.
