need help with my brake system for my 240 wagon
i have a 87 245 dl wagon... i need help with the front brake system... it all started when i was driving and my rubber brake line busted... it was old.. i replaced two so far, considering the money i can afford to spend on this...
but i got it not to leak... one of my bleeders broke flush where it is located.. i bled the other three.. but i still have no stop.. why is this??

Broken bleeder is a problem. I would get a caliper at a junk yard. Make very sure that it matches. They have a few different styles. The only way to know for sure as far as I know is make sure the caiper looks the same and pull a pad out and make sure that it looks the same and so does the little spring thing on the pad.
Penetrating oil is not good to mix with brake fluid. It does not have the same properties. It may not affect it much, but that is just what I heard. Of course, it's better than not being able to bleed.
Before I would give up on the caliper, I would pull the whole unit and then use some PB Blaster (it's a really good penetrating oil) over night and try an ez-out or anything that might grab the sheared surface of the old bleeder. A hammer type impact driver may work, and it may not. Then clean it all out with brake parts cleaner, blow it dry with some air and put it back together. You may want to bench bleed the caliper before you put it on the car.
Just a note on PB Blaster, I took off all the manifold and turbo nuts and bolts off my car with amazing ease by shooting it with PB Blaster the night before. I was amazed. They hadn't been taken off in 8 years and 120k miles.
Good luck.
