Exclamation '88 740T Wagon No Brake Lights. Need Help...

Hey, thanks for taking a look. I've got a 1988 740T Wagon. The brake/stop lights stopped working. I checked the fuse (It's good). I also replaced the stop light switch at the brake pedal which had no effect. The rear lights do function when the headlight switch is turned on, just not the brighter brake lights or the center brake light.
Thanks,
Ian

Check simple stuff first. Do a continuity test on each brake bulb to doublecheck they are all right. If no continuity, then your problem is solved. It could be a coincidence that both bulbs burned out at same time.

Next, check, using Haynes manual, for a common junction somewhere. Could be bulb failure warning sensor or fuse 21? Haynes manual has good wiring diagrams, but unfortunately it does not normally tell you where the parts are located on car.
