Hey all, I just bought a pretty nice 1994 Volvo 940 with the 2.3l, was wondering what my first mods should be, something not super expensive but still adds power, this is coming from someone who’s built out some ford 5.0s in older f150s (hence the username) so I’m new to the whole car/smaller motor thing. My first step for a v8 would be long tube headers but I’ve failed to find a decent proformance header, I really just wanna add a bit of proformancecto this thing, nothing crazy as most of my money is going into my v8 right now. Thanks

The non turbo red blocks probably have around 110 hp by now. Unfortunately there's not much you can do for a reasonable amount of money (and time) to increase that.

Hopefully you have the Bosch fuel injection system. (it will have a bosch air mass meter) A different system called Regina/Rex is used on some cars - those are more underpowered!
