Thanks, what I'm looking for right off is a service manual that covers my year, 1991.

What I found so far is the "green" manual which I think went up to, I think 1986.

Thanks again. I'll take a visit to the newbie page.

the greenbooks are out of print, and AFAIK, no longer available. The electrical book was unique for each year, while the others such as transmission overhaul were for all transmissions of a given series.

most all of the 240 greenbooks are compiled on a CD-Rom sold by VCOA (Volvo Club of America).

for a general home service manual, the Bentley 240 book is quite decent, but its electrical diagrams are quite hard to follow.
