No Spark
Ok let me say im still having trouble from my previous threads about car cranking and not starting i have already took it to a master volvo mechanic supposibly and he said it was the fuel pump but we took it to another cheaper mechanic because he wanted 500$ so we went to junk yard and got another fuel pump so the mechanic can do it he put it in and the car was running fine for 3 days then died on me so then we took it to another mechanic and he said it was the distribuator so then we had replaced that as well and once again it was working for 2-4 days then BAM died on me again...so once again we took it to the same mechanic and he said it was the fuel pump so this time we pulled out the whole assembly from another fuel pump and bought a brand new fuel pump to replace it with the old one to attach it so the mechanic replaced it and i finally thought it was over but again 3 days later the car died on me in the middle of traffic so then i took it to him again and he says it has to be an electrical problem because the car gets no spark so i replaced the fuel pump relay and still nothing.. i mean seriously can it be a bad cam sensor or crank sensor??

no 240/740/940 has a 'cam sensor' of any sort.
LH2.2 cars (84-88 240, 740, and 1989 740T) use a hall sensor in the distributor for timing, while LH2.4 cars (1989+) use a crankshaft position sensor.

my car is a 1993 940 volvo sedan n oh ok i did not know this sorry so what would you suggest since he said it is a spark problem since i replaced the distribuator and he said its not the fuel pump because you can hear it for 2-3 sec when keys in ignition? it has to be a fuel problem because my car has gas and the baterrie is fine just cranks and wont start
ok, 1993 940 can have several possible engines, depending on whatever. I believe in 1993, there were LH2.4 B230F, Regina B230F, LH2.4 Turbos, and LH2.4 B234F 16V.
if your mechanics can't troubleshoot a no-start, they don't deserve to be called mechanics.
your 'it has to be fuel because ...' doesn't have any basis in fact, at least as given. its good that the fuel pumps sound like they are running, but its /still/ possible the fuel isn't getting to the engine, for instance, if the 'radio suppression relay' was malfunctioning,t he injectors wouldn't fire. if the crank position sensor was malfunctioning, you'd get neither spark nor injection.
for an engine to run, it needs at a minimum Fuel, Spark, and Compression.
