Default no spark on 86 240dl

I have a 1986 240 dl with an engine that was just replaced last year. Biggest mistake of my life. It has less than 500 miles since replacement. My current problem is a lack of spark from the coil. I just replaced the coil with a Bosch OEM part, everything matches to the old one. I have checked that there is power to the coil. What can I possibly do next?

Could be the Hall affect switch in the distributor.

What is that and how do I fix it? I have checked for spark at the coil and there was nothing. Would the distributor affect that? A co-worker mentioned something about a crankshaft position sensor also. I am at wit's end here. Any help would be great.

Possible if you have one.

Do you have an Electrical connection on the Dist?
If so it could be it.

Check the speed sensor as well. It goes into the Back of the engine where the Trans meets the engine.

If the outer black sheilding is Cracked or coming off replace the sensor wether it fixes it or not.
Because if that is not the problem it will most like be the Next problem.
