Default No turn signals on 1986 740.

I have an 86 740 wagon with light issues. I was finally able to fix the head light issues but it seems to not recognize any of the turn lights in it. Flashers still work, relays and switches have been switched out with ones that work on my 1991 740 but i dont get a flash from either side or a quick flash on the dash telling me bulbs are shot which I know are good anyway.

i don't have a wiring diagram for a 86 740 handy. on my 92 wiring diagram, its fairly complicated... hazard lights are powered off fuse 2 which is unswitched power direct from the battery via teh positive terminal, while turn signals are powered off fuse 9 which is switched power from the ignition switch pin 15L.

fuse 9 is a blue-green wire to the turn signal stalk pin (unreadable). this signal goes through a 'hazard lights are off' contact in the blinker switch and heads to the turn signal flasher relay on a white wire, then a yellow wire from the flasher relay goes to back to the turn signal stalk pin (unreadable), and the turn signal switch selects left (green) or right (blue-green), these go to the left-or-right lights as well as the dash indicators.

you follow the circuit back to the source checking each point til you find juice, and then you figure out why its not getting from point A to point B

is there a blue-green wire at the turn signal switch? it should be hot when ignition is on, it comes from fuse 9.

ah, found another drawing of the switch, the power from fuse 9 on the blue green wire should be on pin 9(15) at the turn signal switch.

oh crap, there's two blue-green wires?? this shows the wire to the right turn lights and indicators as being blue-green too. thats on pin 4(R) (and left turn+indicators are green on 5(L).
