I'm missing the left front bumper trim piece on my '85 240 wagon (and the center piece isn't in too good a shape either). The pieces I see for sale are listed for '86-'93 cars, but from the pictures I've seen the parts in questions look identical (the bumpers sure do). I get the impression that 1985 was a transition year of sorts. Was there some sort of change from '85 to '86 so that the new hockey sticks won't work?

Yes, the 1985 have different bumpers from 1986.

 

Checking part numbers on VADIS shows from 1979 to 1993 the black bumper cover was 1246585; the black LH trim was 1372331;the black centre trim was 1372329 and the black RH trim was 1372333.The part numbers for the bright trims were consistent throughout the same period.

 

Well, may be in Euro version, but in the US, these pieces, the bumper trims ARE different, 1983-85, from 1986-1993... The pre 1986 are hard to get new, NLA.

 

Forget new, I'd settle for used.

Been checking eBay since I got the car... no dice.

 

Junkyard or look in the for sale section on this forum or turbobricks. I am sure there is another 240 being parted out.
