oil pan removal

i'm trying to remove oil pan on 1990 240 , is caught up on oilpump as i try to remove it, suggestions?

try this:

unbolt the...bolts, at the engine mounts. then, jack up the engine from the bottom of the crank pulley. be careful. or not.

this might work to give the clearence you'll want.
