My wife and I are in the process of moving from FL to WI. I volunteered to drive some of our worldly possessions and our dog while she peacefully flies with our infant daughter.... The Vo did great running 75-80 most of the time getting 23mpg (probably could do better if speeds were kept down). The only issue that cropped up was probably due to my overfilling the trans. Taking a scenic detour through the north GA mountains I was smelling a strange burning smell. Pulled over to find a small drip of ATF dripping on the exhaust.... Running through the mountains is hard on a trans to begin with and after my pre-flight overfill foible I caused a minor leak. Anyway eventually I pulled about a quart..... Ok maybe more from the trans. She still is marking her territory a little but the trans has been the weak point on this car since I bought it.
Now I'm rewarding her with a thorough cleaning and oil change. I wouldn't of had the piece of mind to drive a 30 year old car 2k plus miles without this forum.
