Default Painting emblems....Tips?

Hey all, I think I am going to remove the rear emblems on my 91’ 740 Turbo. I know I can get them off with some fishing line and heating them up a bit but the question I have is, I would like to paint them black. As you know they are sliver-ish but I think a glossy black would be better as my car is red and the bumpers are black. I was looking for tips about painting these emblems. What to use/not to use etc. Thanks a lot.

Default RE: Painting emblems....Tips?

1. Remove them like you stated you would.

2. Sand them to remove the silver paint. I would use like 200-400 grit sandpaper to do this.

3. Clean them.

4. Primmer them.

5. Sand them a little more.

6. Paint them the color you want. Try some spray can PLASTIDIP or even some Engine paint. Normal spray paint should work as well..

7. Clear coat them.
