Part # for '93 240 AC clutch assembly?
Hi.
Can anyone tell me the part # for a 1993 volvo 240 AC clutch assembly? If not, can you tell me where I can look up part numbers?
I've found a couple websites, but nothing comes up for the AC clutch assembly specifically. I'm starting to wonder if I have the name of the part wrong.
Also, I need the part number for the rear passenger side door lock hatch assembly. I keep coming across something called a door lock actuator but no hatch assembly.
Thanks!

Second question first. It is a door LATCH assembly. The hatch is the 5th door on a wagon. If you need the actual external door handle they are readily available aftermarket and at the j/y. If you are looking for the actual assembly in the door jamb, your options are limited to the dealer or a j/y. Not available aftermarket as far as I know.
As to the clutch assembly, please note that a new compressor with clutch is only about $50 more. Here at the shop, we won't put a new clutch on an old compressor. Unless the compressor is newish, there is just too great a chance that the shaft seal on the compressor is in the process of failing. If it develops a leak, the customer always assumes we did it. And, given the pricing, it just makes sense to replace the entire unit. The clutch number is 6848093 if you can find it. The price is north of $200. The entire compressor can be had for $250-300 dollars. Plus refrigerant, oil and labor of course.

Thank you so much! Its not the door handle, its the actual locking mechanism in the door. Like I said, I still don't find anything that says assembly, I can only find an actuator. What is that? I'm sure its because, as you said, you can't get these aftermarket.
Thanks for the advice on the AC compressor! I'm just going to buy the whole thing. This car is 17 years old and has 230,000 miles on it. I'm sure its time for a new compressor.
Thanks again!!
Maggie
