Default PLEASE explain "air dams" in relation to wheels???

I have a 90 740 GLE wagon I got this summer.

I read in the manual that these wheels/rims are a certain type for "air dams"?? WHAT?WHERE is THAT??

I have 3 wheels stock on the car, and one with a diffferent rim thats not "air dam" they tell me...so do I need to replace that with whatever it is that is supposed to be on it? and can I keep that one I remove to use on a spare?

And how does this all work, I am totally lost here...

I have NO CLUE what "air dam" means or does...can one of you enlighten me?

Thanks

Im not sure what they are talking about. I have never heard of any issues from running 2 different types of rims on a car.
