Possible Bad Engine/Trans Mounts?
While I'm on a roll with problems I thought I would ask some more questions. I've noticed that my automatic trans shifter moves when I come to an abrupt stop. Does this mean my mounts are failing?

They could be very weak.
They are pretty easy to check.Look under the car and where the oil pan goes over the cross member.If they are weak/bad the oil pan will rub on the crossmember.
You should also be able to look at the trans mount and tell if it is bad or not.
