Default Power locks problem

I have a 91 240 and the power locks just stopped working. Now everytime I go out to the car, the battery is dead. I actually have to pull the fuse for the power locks when i'm not driving it and the battery won't die. If I don't pull the fuse, the battery dies. Any ideas?

It's a common problem for the wires in the door to go bad and short against the metal frame. Then the lock becomes constantly energized and drains the battery.

Yes. Do the power locks work using the key vs. the lock/unlock lever inside the car?

This might help to isolate:

When I ise the key, it only unlocks / locks the drivers side door.
