PS belt routing
Folks, I am working on an '88 volvo 245 w/a 230F motor (I think). I bought the car w/a back R&P in it and it is presently in Harlingen...or places south being rebuilt courtesy of Rockauto.
The question...it had no PS belt on it when I got it and I suspect that the belt routing was not correct. When the Rack comes back...gonna want to put the belt on.
It had 1 alternator belt (which is on the left as you look at it.), but the alternator has 2 grooves.. Then, it had 1 belt going to the right to the AC compressor, which has 2 grooves.
There didn't appear to be a groove left for the rack.
How is it supposed to go?

2 matched belts must go to the alternator or it will slip (9.5x 925?) - it needs 2 for traction - if you notice the belt does not contact the alternator pulley for many degrees
The belt for the ac goes from the outer pulley on the crankshaft to the outer groove on the compressor, the p/s belt goes from the inner compressor groove to the the ps pump
