put 740/850 front seats in a 240?
Hi,
I have a 1985 240dl. The driver's seat is in sad shape. I'm wondering if 740 or 850 seats with the appropriate tracks will fit in a 240. Anyone had success with this type swap?
Thanks,
Eric

I guess that depends on your definition oh Major, 2 simple brackets and you can put 850 seats in. check this thread form turbo bricks.. I am planning on doing this mod as well probably i can let you know how it works..

Did you even look at the Tbrick thread?
INMO, if you wanna get some REALLY comfortable seats, score a set out of a late 80s, early 90s Mercedes "w124" family (260E, 300E, 300D, etc). the "MB Tex" aka "Taxi Leather" (aka german vinyl) last freekin' forever, and are /really/ comfortable on long road trips. sure, you'll need to make an adapter plate to bolt them in, and you'll need to rig up some kind of power seat switches (they are virtually all power seats). they have a really wide range of height adjustment.
