Default re-locate radio on 240

hey all, I currently have my radio installed on my 240 in front of the shift. I want to relocate it to the top above the two a/c vents. Does anyone know where I can get the bigger mount for this and where to get the smaller bin for the hole in front of the shift?

I did this to my 240 and it was very easy. It was nearly 6 years ago but I think I remember most of it. The wires are about long enough to reach anyway, You may need to extend the antenna some. Just go to a junkyard and pick up a faceplate that goes on the top and dremel it out to fit your radio ( I assume it's aftermarket) You may be able to find the smaller bin at the junkyard too just look at the newer 240's that already have the upper radio for that.

my '90 240 DL was like that when I got it ... Best Buy carries adapter kits, I think it was about 25 bucks ... and the liner bucket was already in there behind the aftermarket radio ... mine had been bought on the tourist and diplomat program in europe by a US serviceman and then shipped home after being driven the necessary miles over there, so he ordered it without the sound system and had one put in when he got it over here ... why they put it down there is anybody's guess but you'll like it better up high
