rear deck speakers for 91 240 sedan
Anyone know what size of speakers fit best(mounted underside) for the pre-existing holes in the rear deck? I was thinking maybe 5x7s would work.
The holes are so oddly shaped...I realize they probably weren't meant for speakers, but they'll do for it. What were they meant for? lol
Anyways, I always had boxed 6x9s sitting on the rear deck, but I never liked the way it looked. I'm redoing a lot of other things on the car atm and decided to put a little into the stereo system while I was at it.
After owning the car for years, I *finally* replaced the factory door speakers(4s in the fronts and 5 1/4s in the rear). With a little cutting on the door panels, and some shaving on the grills(next to the door handles), they actually look pretty decent.
It sounds good, but I think something in the rear deck would improve things.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Here is a guy doing a custom install right now: http://www.volvolution.com/forum/vie...php?f=66&t=132
The 244T we bought has 6 1/2" rear deack speakers in it.
I haven't taken that car apart yet to see what they did.
I will be doing some similar features the posted link has.
