hi everybody

i wanted to change my spark plugs on my '93 940, but when i tried to pull the spark plug cap off it seemed like it wouldn't budge at all. is there a special trick to get at the spark plug, or do i have to find someone strong enough to pull the spark plug caps off for me?

There is no trick, just give the spark plug boots a tug. It might help to pull the boots from side to side, but be careful not to damage them.

 

You can use a pair of pliers or channel locks CAREFULLY to get more leverage and pop the wire off, (the cap), as you call it...

 

twist and pull, it shouldn't take too much effort.
