Seat upholstery
Has anyone used this seat upholstery from ebay? Volvo 240 245 265 Seat Covers Original Upholstery 4 Line Beige Vinyl New | eBay I'm debating getting the cloth seat covers from ipd or recovering the seats. I'm just not sure of the quality of these seat covers.

I wouldn't want vinyl seats, had them on cheap american cars in the 70s, and ugh.
the IPD 240 fabric covers work great, have a set on our 400K mile 1987 240 that my daughter now drives (my wife was the original owner), these covers have been on there at /least/ 6-7 years and are still in good shape.
there's also a pile of businesses like this one, Volvo Seat Covers - Custom Volvo Seat Covers that make custom seat covers to order using computerized patterns, their 'best' grade fit like original. they have a wide variety of fabrics, the velquilt or scottsdale is pretty close to the OE fabric.
suggestion for installation of any covers, get some 'hog rings' to better secure the bottom edges and a hogring plier to help install said rings. remove the old skins and try to repair any broken wires, add some firm foam where the old seat is sagging, etc, before putting the new cover on.
