My '84 245glt will not pass CA smog at the moment. It is reading high in the carbons (?). Apparently a fuel delivery problem? I've just replaced the fuel pump (under the car) as it was a bit weak, and I am wondering what other items I should check/replace before I drop another $70 on a test.

Make sure engine vent system is in good shape.
Maybe an oil change as well.
