I'll looking for a pair of speaker mounts for my 1993 240, Volvo Part Number 1384655. According to every site I've visited, they're no longer available. The ones in my car have been superglued back together one too many times.

just get some aftermarket speakers and cut the holes big enough for them, and use the speaker mounting hardware. I put nice quality 6.5" round 2-ways on the back deck of our 240, they sound awesome when driven by a modern deck with 50W x 4 "music power" (really more like 20W RMS, but hey, who's counting, thats still plenty more pookah than the stock system had).

I used a saber saw to cut the holes, and used RTV (aka any silicone sealant) around the speaker flange to seal it against the shelf, this way it sounds tighter. the grills that came with my speakers hide any ugliness. I used stainless bolts and nylock nuts rather than the self tapping pointy sheet metal screws that came with the speaker kit. I used a bit of blue locktite on the nuts so they can't vibrate loose when its cranked up hard.
