starting problem

Default starting problem

The Volvo 240 Started doing this it seems to take two times to start them it starts fine after that. But before it started right off on the 1st try what happen. It has been hot and humid and it sits in the garage during the night. I cannt think what the problem could be.. Help me if you can>>> Could I need a new gas cap or what this monring I smelled a little gas when I started it but I had hit the gas before I started it. up to about a week ago one turn and off we go now two turns and some time just let it set for a MIN then were fine. After I drive it and it sits dont seem to have that problem. Could it be the Garage? or JUst me !!!!!!??????

With fuel injected engines do not touch the accelerator (gas pedal) before starting.

That would explain the gas you're smelling. Pull the codes from your engine and see what the engine thinks is wrong. follow the link below....very easy to do this yourself.

It did not work I have to crank it over three times to get it started and then it ideled bad for a while then run fine. I try it after I turned it off and it started right up... What to do next?

I did the code and got 111 three times I did it so what you thinking now. Could it be the plugs and wires and cap and bad gas maybe?

I just does not seem to be firing when I start I know that sounds strange..

I did the code and they were 111 could I have bad plugs and wires and cap and coil and just bad gas? It seems like it is not firing more or less
