With my 1986 Volvo 240 DL each time I get out of the car I get a nice static shock, similar to what you'd get in your house during the winter time if you drag your feet on the carpet. I own multiple cars and this doesn't happen with any of the rest of them.

Anyone else have this issue? And any ideas what can be causing it? Tx.

 

fabric seats ? spray some antistatic spray on them.

 

When open the door, before you get off the car, put your hand on the window frame(or any metal part on the door) while you moving out, that will discharge everything peacefully, works for me everytime.
It happens when you wear cloth pants like jeans, rub on the seat when you get out.
