TD-613 am/fm radio cassette issues
Hi! My mother in law owns a few volvos but her "baby" is a 1991 240D turbo wagon....black w 192,000kms! She lends it to me to use while I visit.
The TD-613 was removed at some point by a Volvo dealer and since then has not worked for years. The radio turns on/displays a channel on the face i.e. FM 87.9 but there is no sound. I plunked a cassette into it and still no sound.
So...speakers not reconnected?
Also-in reviewing TD613 problems on line, there may or may not be an amp with this car? How do i find out? Where would it be located?
Thanks for any help and have a great day!

I'd pull the head unit out and do a bench test. As to locating the amp, on older 240s, the amp is located behind the glove compartment. On newer models, it's mounted to the rear side of the lower dash storage pocket. Assuming you have an amp, check for a blown fuse first.
