I am trying to test the fuel pump on my '82 244 to see if it is working properly. I disconnected the fuel line coming from the pump to see if it was pumping. When i crank the engine nothing comes out but about 2 seconds after i stop cranking it it kicks in and plenty of fuel comes out. Is this how it is supposed to work or is it malfunctioning?
