oh, the alternator fan... no, that cools the alternator, duh! 
I thought you meant the engine fan (but come to think of it, in 92, at least on turbos, they did away with the mechanical engine fan and went electric)

1994 940 LH2.4 non-turbo, alternator fan is Volvo part 973488. IPD matches this up to an 11.9x1000, $8 ... its also used for power steering at least, probably other things. other equivalent volvo PN's are 968320, 981680

Thanks Man I picked up a belt and auto zone is going to cover the alternator under the warranty. Finally something that does not cost me money.
