Thoughts on the do88 silicone hose kit?
I thought I had all of my vacuum leaks sorted, but I was still getting slow, erratic boost and a slight lack of power. Not to be fooled again, I inspected the throttle intake hose for the third time and found a spot that looked like it had been stabbed by a screwdriver causing a nice 1/4 inch slit.
Before I load the parts cannon again and buy a 156 dollar hose kit, I was wondering if the kit is worth the money. I mean, the single hose itself is only twenty bucks, and the other hoses appear to be holding pressure. But for how long?
Is this kit worth the money, or should I just buy the tubes as they blow?

Yes they are! and you too (like many others) can waste your hard earned dollars on crap for a really old car that might be worth far less than you put in it! This is from an old guy who has done the same thing many, many times. Spend (and save) your money wisely, you will need more if it later than you could have ever imagined to maintain the lifestyle you have become accustomed to, even though you can't think that far now.
