Hello

I have made a decision, i will be chaning the strut bases, but thats about all im going to do to the car right now, because we will be getting a 2003 audi a6 in 4 years, i mean, i know it seems a long time, but im a 20 year old college student, and in 1 year and a half i will be leaving my country to go to the states to FSU(currently in FSU Panama) and when i leave, we are going to sell the volvo, and in 2 years when i come back i will be getting the Audi a6, so right now to spend more than 600 dollars(remember student) on fixing a car that is 11 years old, i dont think its worth it, its not like those things are going to be critical, but the strut base i will change. So thats why i didnt post anything new, maybe in 1 month i will think different and go fix my car, who knows, but for now, i wont be making any diagnosticsor anything like that.

One thing i notices since they took out my alternator to get it fixed, is a kind of oscillating sound, coming from the engine itself, its like a Humming sound, this morning was loud, and it comes and goes, what could this possibly be?

they changed the wiring(maybe), and some other part, and after that they changed a line going from the alternator to the battery, the mechanic(different one) didnt explain himself really well, but it wasnt charging the battery

OK if they replaced parts in the Alt they might have installed a bearing that was going bad. They might not of know it at the time.
