Time / Frequency switch on 740 radio
According t the owners manual there is a switch on the back of the Radio in my '90 740GLE to display either the time of day or the staion frequesncy. How do you get to the switch? Do you have to pull apart the dash?
Typical car manual.
If you have a CR814 radio gently prise off the trim panel that goes from around the radio to the steering column to access the radio retaining screws. The trim panel is a 'click' fit so does not require a lot of force.

Dang I must be a dipwad, I could not get the radio out. I removed the cover, the two screws above left and right of the radio,, pulled like heck and no give. Removed the tray the cig lighter is in and tried to reach around and find the switch that way and just succeeded in cutting up my hands. Square 1.
