I would like to know which is the proper tire rotation pattern for our RWD Volvos and how often should they be rotated? I am thinking every other oil change, am I right?

 

Just Google the very same thing (tire rotation pattern) and read all the information available there for you.

 

Or you can check your owners manual. If you don't have one, you can get one from eBay or use the one on the Volvo website.

I believe it's front to back. I use to do it every 10,000 miles and use to get between 80,000 and 90,000 out of my Michilens.

 

yeah, with radials, its recommended to just swap front to rear on the same sides, and not do the old '5-way' rotation from the days of bias ply. how often? I tend to wait til I can tell the difference between the fronts and rears. tires last a long time on 240/740/940 volvos.

btw, Michelin Primacy MXV4 H rated rock on the 740/940's. awesome rain tire, quiet, smooth ride, great traction, long life.
