Top strut mount question.

Top strut mount question.
1990 DL245
I recently rebuilt my front end, to include: strut inserts, boots, gland nuts, ball joints, outer tie rod ends, swaybar links, and swaybar bushings (poly). However, I gambled and lost on the the top strut mount. I have the Blue Box versions and will install them later this week. The car has been sidelined since I found they are going bad. Also in my possession are 2 steel plates that fit on top of the strut mount. They install by fitting them over the three studs that mount to the car.
Will this affect the camber significantly or will it affect the camber at all? Any information about this will be helpful.

After reading purv420's reply I looked at the plates sitting on top of the strut mount a bit closer. They do not sit flat on the mount. The plates are flat themselves but when placed over the studs they will not lay flat. The center where the nut and bearing are is raised enough to keep the plates from sitting flat.
I suppose one could open up the center enough to accommodate the center feature. I would really hate to go through all the moves to install the new strut mounts and plates and end up with purv430's situation.
Thanks purv420 for the input.
Maybe your plates are like mine, needing a larger center hole? So anyone else done this to their car? and had a different outcome from purv420's?
