Torque rod bushings

Torque rod bushings
Just got a very clean 1990 240DL wagon for my son. Started with front muffler, then moved on to rear shock replacement, then realized torque rod bushings were goners, got complete rear kit. Had the driver's side TR's pressed out and replaced today. My son reinstalled, then test drove and heard lots of new noise. The rear bushing is sliding back and forth in the housing. Any ideas for a solution? Tack weld? Big hammer?
Thanks!
Thanks!

RE: Torque rod bushings
We batched the 4 bushings according to part # and size. The panhard rod bushings are separate. My question was not about confusing the bushings, but how to mitigate a problem with the "correct" one. I am quite sure that mistake was not made. Please help me focus on the problem.

RE: Torque rod bushings
I have established that the correct bushings were installed. Can anyone offer a suggestion for a solution to this problem? The 4 bushings were esssentially identical, though I didn't mic them. I heard back from the vendor, who will exchange them. Has anyone heard of an oversize problem with the rod itself? One end is tight and both the old ones (OEM Volvo) were quite thoroughly fused in, so the replacement was undersized?
Should I perhaps go with urethane?
