I broke one home made bearing press and 2 bench vises. It took 7 hours just to do one side.

Forget pressing them out. Just cut them out. Use a fine bit on a jigsaw. Then use chisels/punches or what ever you got.

Getting them back in is the hard part. It takes real OOOMMPHHH.


I'm sure the next side will take me 1/2 as long - that is if the wife allows me to do it. She was just as pissed as me!
