Towing 240 station wagon by tow bar?
Hi,
We are planning for cross country USA, moving with 26 Feet rental moving truck with tow bar, attached our 93 Volvo 240 station wagon behind.
Does anyone can advice us for experiences or brand of tow bar to purchase?
Is it better detach the drive shaft?
Thank you!

I wouldn't flat tow an automatic. best thing to do is tow it backwards, with the rear wheels on a 'cradle' trailer aka dolly, like this, https://www.uhaul.com/Trailers/Tow-Dolly-Rental/TD/ (but backwards for RWD, with the steering wheel lashed in place).

Thanks Pierce and Act 1292 !!
We called moving truck company and price was not bad as we thought. All 4 wheel up transporter which no need to take driveshaft out, cost was 300+, for cross country trip.
We are going to do this way, probably safer than thin metal construction tow bar from Harborfreight.
