Having trouble with shifting on my 244. Automatic tranny. Previous owner put tranny from 90? 740. Wondering if its a sensor deal or tranny compatible with computer problem.

 

There is no trans computer for these cars.
probably need to adjust the kickdown cable.

I am thinking it has to do with the cable, it will not shift when I think it should. No tach of course but I hear it Rev fairly high and if I let off a little it will shift. It downshift really easy sometimes. And I'm not hot rodding it either.

 

The kick down cable is a good suspect. Also, checked your transmission fluid? If it's low it will shift wonky.
