I've noticed that my 740 shifts kind of late. Since I purchased it I've kind of been avoiding this question but I no longer can. If my tranny always shifts around 3k-3.5k rpm what does it mean for the life of my tranny? Is it wearing out? I read somewhere that this is a sign of wear. Would a good thorough flush and synthetic atf help? I'm praying that I can still get at least another 50k out of it.

 

A fluid change could either help it or hurt it.You won't know till you do it.
Check the adjustment of the kick down cable.Also make sure it isn't seized.
