Truck Lock
Hello,
I bought a 1994 940 Turbo four years ago, was told by the seller to open the trunk using the door key. Which I've done for four years. Today I asked my daughter to open the trunk and she took the door key and used it on the lock on the trunk, locking the trunk so it won't open now when I open the front door,, and it won't open using the lock she used. Funny thing, the original key won't fit in the trunk lock, but the key I had made does,, at any rate, I can't get into my trunk. Please help.

CAn you get in by removing the rear seats?
The lock is removeable and fixable, I did it in mine but its a wagon.
I might keep trying with the key. spray the inside of the barrel with lube, jiggle the key.

I'm not sure about the rear seats,,, the manual is in the trunk. We looked around the back seats, did not see a way to remove them. Guess that is one of my questions,, how do I remove them.
Tried the WD40 thing, didn't work.. Almost broke the key trying to get it open.

Remove seat bottoms,
Its just clips.
depress front edge of seat (lower) and push rearwards toward trunk, lift up rear of seat. Might be easier if you put a knee on the front edge and pull rear edge up at the same time.
To remove seat backs, from the Haynes manual "straighten metal tongues on lower clips, thump seat back upwards to free it from top clips and remove.
My lock is secured with a big C clip (maybe a coupla screws too) which you have to slide off, takes a screwdriver and bent needle nose pliers, maybe a small hammer to get it moving. The tumblers inside my lock barrel were rusted together. Its just a series of sliding brass plates, each one matches the notches on the key.
Haynes says your lock is installed with shear head bolts, they have to be drilled or punched out, bah!
Try the actuator rod, it could very well be stuck, the door lock solenoid onmine was.
