very slow throttle
ok so, 1991 240, was running great, but the tranny died. took it to a shop to install a new tranny, got it home, and didnt run. installed new in-tank pump, and that got it going. now, it has a bad idle, hard start, but once it is running i can twist the throttle slowly and it will run better. runs rough up to about 1200, then smooths out to redline but, it just wont take a normal throttle input. you have to hold it down lightly and slowly until the rmp's come up. car is undriveable this way. any ideas where to go from here? its my only car right now and i need it working.
replaced:
in tank pump
fuel filter
air filter
cap
plugs
wires
rotor
maf
checked:
timing
plugs
fuel pressure
icv
cold start
compression
relays
reset:
ecu (joined both batt cables for 1 min)
please give me ideas...

any fault codes on the onboard diagnostic box?
was the new MAF adjusted by someone familiar with these cars and the proper gas analyzer ?
bad running at low RPMs is often cause by air leaks in the intake, anywhere from the head to throttle body to MAF, and all vacuum hoses.

By the symptoms I'd guess a bad MAFS.
How do you "adjust" a MAFS? You don't. At least not on a '91.
You say you replaced the MAFS? With what? Many second hands/rebuilt MAFS are bad... Ask me how I know.
I am always a little leery of such mass shotgun replacement adventures since, well...better diagnose first.

oh, was that just the LH2.2 MAF that had to be calibrated ?
