Default Volvo 240

Somewhere I have read of a method to replace the heater core and blower motor without taking the dash apart. Any info?

Back in the day (the 1980s) a 240 came into my shop that someone had replaced the heater core by cutting the top of the ventilation box and pulling the heater core out from the speaker hole in the top of the dash. I think the top was then duct taped back together.

Not a method I would recommend.

Check youtube. An independent mechanic there has a slick way to access it via the drivers kick panel.
