Volvo 240 Electrical issue

Volvo 240 Electrical issue
I got my first car/Volvo (a '93 240) a few months ago. After an intermittent no-start (doesn't crank but will roll to start and drive fine) I disconnected the battery to clean the terminals and some grounds. When I reconnect the battery the parking lights flash on and off. I tried doing a hard reset by connecting the positive and negative terminal wires and leaving them, but when I reconnected the battery the thing same happened. Any advice would be appreciated as I'm new to working on cars/Volvos.

Fog lights as in aftermarket/ Volvo accessory fog lamps mounted under the bumper? Those cars did not come with fog lamps - other than the 1 rear fog lamp. There will be some sort of relay that sends power to the front fog lamps, and Volvo made a factory rocker switch for the dash. - A hard reset is not needed on that car - there really are no brains to scramble other than the engine control unit.

Volvo does not flash the parking lights either. There is just a simple switch on the dash. No relay or control unit for the parking lights, just a switch, a bulb integrity sensor for the rear parking lights and wires. You may have an aftermarket alarm installed that is flashing your parking lights.
