Hi,
I own a 1990 Volvo 240 wagon that I love and drive but the wagon needs some TLC by a mechanic in the NYC area. Any suggestions? I'm having trouble finding someone who will look at it.

 

The car always starts but the start is rough and recently has started to flood when hot outside. The car has never left me stranded yet, I can start with the foot on the peddle to the floor. But both symptoms are starting to worry me because I do drive the car up to Mass. once and a while. I've tried all of the normal stuff like plugs, wires and distributor cap. I have had two mechanics try and improve the start and both have given up. Most recently the car has started to rev. at stop lights when cold.

 

Hi...where in New York are you located? I have some experience with a few different places, and can point you to them if I know what neighborhood you're in...let me know.
