Hey, hows everyone doing. Volvo has been running ok after i changed the timing belt but now she feels like she is starving for fuel.

I will press the gas down and she feels like she wants to go but cant. She actually decelerates.
Then there are moments when she will accelerate all of a sudden and stay in a high rpm. I will have to take my time so she accelerates at a smooth rate.

When i try to start her, she doesnt want to start anymore. Its getting harder and harder to start her. I have to floor her to get her going and she seems to backfire sometimes when i do that?

What do you guys think?
Is it the fuel pump? Catalytic converter? Transmission?

I think it's your timing belt, it's off a couple of teeth.

 

Why do you say timing belt? I just took her on a 800 mile trip and she did fine on the road until i came back. She then started to buck. If she starts to lose power when i floor her, i will have to turn her off and then on to get her going again which is odd. I have to do this sometimes at red lights.

 

I put in some cataClean which is a fuel and exhaust cleaner and she seemed to work a little better but downshifts a bit slow.

 

Well, OK, so you didn't "just change the timing belt"! Any codes? CEL on? It could be the fuel pump...

 

I just changed the timing belt. CEL is not on. I was thinking fuel pump too.
Im going to go ahead and change transmission oil and filter.
