Hmmm...exactly to what are you referring as "paddle"? Do you mean the gas pedal? How lous is the knock? It could be anything from a tank of bad gasoline to a rod attempting to escape the engine. Checked the oil lately? Has the car been run hot?

Thanks for getting back to me. the knock is only minor but it does irritate me, . coz i have to accelerate like really old drivers
by paddle i meant the Accelerator .
Car has not been overheating or any thing. Fairly smooth . Gauge is mostly at middle or slightly high.
I just changed the oil. , it is not burning oil or anything.
it does have a slight exhaust leak as well..which also gets noticeable only when you rev up the motor.

Are you feeding it regular gas?
These turbos like premium fuel.
I've also had good luck with Lucas Fuel Treatment.

Could be...mild cases usually go away or get much quieter after warming up. To the o.p............does the sound diminish at all when the motor's warmed up?

No i normally try the Regular gas but mechanics have told me to use the Premium, and i tried it once or twice.. but no major change.
the sound wont do away when motor warms up, or is Cold..

i showed it to a muffler guy, he told me the leak is from the Exhaust manifold gasket, not muffler. Could that cause this type of issue>? i guess not

Hi Fellows....
i replaced the Exhaust manifold Gasket and tail pipe. car is not smooth as a whistle but still when i charge it up it does a bit of knock, which is not huge but still no pleasant to hear.
i have been running on 93 octane and also tried the injector clear recently, to no major gain.
If it was leak in the Valve seals , wouldnt it be reducing motor oil or etc? my volvo is good on motor oill always full..
Any more ideas from you guys will be really appreciated.
